Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add the spaghetti and cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat for about a minute. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir and bring to a simmer, cooking for 10 minutes.
  4. Gently add the drained spaghetti to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta with sauce, and add reserved pasta water for consistency if needed.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in freshly chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
