For the Quesadilla
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas Corn tortillas can be used but may crack more easily when folding.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Can use butter for extra flavor.
For Seasoning

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, breaking it apart. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Sprinkle in taco seasoning, adding water to bind. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  3. Lay one tortilla flat. Spoon seasoned ground beef mixture onto half of the tortilla. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the filling. Fold tortilla over.
  4. In a nonstick skillet, drizzle olive oil over medium heat. Cook the folded quesadilla for 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  5. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, and slice into wedges. Serve hot with optional toppings.
