Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, French onion soup mix, and beef broth. Stir well, then fold in browned beef and sour cream.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly. Top with shredded cheese.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Sprinkle French-fried onions on top and bake for 5 more minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
