Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook for about 7-10 minutes until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until onions are translucent.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Add diced potatoes and cooked beef and vegetable mixture to the bowl. Fold gently until well coated.
- Transfer to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and cover tightly with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes.
- After 60 minutes, remove foil and sprinkle extra cheddar cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
