  • 2 tablespoons Milk Adjust for consistency

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in baking powder and salt, then fold in oats and flour until combined.
  4. Reserve 1½ cups of dough for topping and spread the remaining in the baking pan.
  5. Bake the crust for about 12 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Spread frozen sour cherries over the baked crust evenly.
  7. Crumble reserved dough over the cherry filling.
  8. Bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden brown and filling is bubbly.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then prepare the icing.
  10. Mix confectioners' sugar, almond extract, and milk until smooth.
  11. Drizzle icing over the cooled bars and let it set before cutting into squares.
