  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
For Coating and Frying
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon for coating
  • 2 cups Oil vegetable or canola

Method
 

Making the Churros
  1. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add vanilla extract, flour, and salt. Mix until just combined and chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls, flatten them, and pipe cheesecake filling into the center.
  4. Fold edges over to seal tightly and chill for another 15 minutes.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F and fry churros for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove churros, drain on paper towels, and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
