Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of cottage cheese and blend for a smoother texture if desired.
  3. Separate 3 large eggs, placing the whites in one bowl and the yolks with the cottage cheese.
  4. Add the egg yolks, cream of tartar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the cottage cheese. Mix until combined.
  5. Whip the egg whites with a hand mixer until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture until no visible streaks remain.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop the batter in mounds, leaving space in between.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve as a base for sandwiches or toast with your favorite toppings.
