Step-by-Step Instructions

  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart and cooking for 5-7 minutes until browned.

  6. Carefully slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  7. Fill each bell pepper with the beef-rice mixture, packing gently.
  8. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish. Sprinkle cheese on top, if desired.
  9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
