Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour and granulated sugar in a bowl. Cut in the softened unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the greased baking pan.
  4. Bake the crust for approximately 15 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the light corn syrup, packed brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the pecan filling mixture over the pre-baked crust and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for another 25-30 minutes until the filling is set and slightly golden on top.
