Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, real bacon bits, sweet relish, and white sugar. Stir well until smooth.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with sea salt, ground black pepper, and onion powder. Shape into uniform patties about ¼ inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- In another pan, melt butter over medium heat. Toast slices of rye bread until they turn golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Spread the creamy sauce on one side of each bread slice. Add cheddar cheese, beef patty, and provolone on top before layering with another bread slice.
- Return the assembled sandwiches to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, let rest for a minute, then slice in half and serve immediately with fries or salad.

Notes
Use thick, crusty rye bread for the best results. Control the skillet heat to ensure even cooking and melted cheese.
