- Mash 2-3 very ripe bananas until smooth, then stir in melted butter.
- Mix in baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat together softened cream cheese with an egg, additional sugar, and flour until smooth.
- Pour half of the banana batter into the loaf pan, then half of the cream cheese mixture, followed by the remaining banana batter and cream cheese mixture.
- Gently swirl the batters together using a butter knife.
- Bake for about 55-60 minutes; check for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
