- Cook pasta by bringing salted water to a boil, add penne pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.
- Season shrimp with blackened seasoning. Cook in a skillet with vegetable oil for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque, then set aside.
- Season sirloin steak with salt, pepper, and blackened seasoning. Sear in the same skillet with butter for 1-2 minutes on each side until crispy. Cover to keep warm.
