Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, add the chopped onion and ground beef. Cook for about 7-10 minutes until browned and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the condensed mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture into a lightly greased 33 x 23 cm baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
  6. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
