Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a large pan over medium heat, add the chopped onion and ground beef. Cook for about 7-10 minutes until browned and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the condensed mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
- Transfer the beef mixture into a lightly greased 33 x 23 cm baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
